Volunteer Spotlight
Up and Running Again
Some of our Redwood Gospel Mission residents are preparing to train for a half marathon! Many of them do not believe that they are physically and mentally able to run 13.1 miles. Consider joining our team and help them believe that anything is possible.
We are partnering with a faith-based non-profit organization called Up and Running Again that helps equip homeless individuals in rescue missions throughout the country to run a half marathon.
Join us:
PLEASE JOIN US for our Up and Running Again Spotlight as we discuss ways that volunteers can support these runners – either by running with us or serving in other practical, hands-on ways. You do not need to be a runner to get involved!
Training Starts – Monday, June 2nd
Race Day – Sunday, August 25th
The Spotlight will include:
-
An overview of the Up and Running Again program
-
Testimonies from past runners and volunteers
-
A discussion of volunteer opportunities and how to get started
-
Dinner!
Date and Time:
Wednesday, May 14th
